I believe nourishment is sacred. When we connect with the earth's plentitude, we become more in tune with our own wellbeing and more invested in the wellbeing of others. When we are nourished, we can live more mindfully, make better decisions. This inspires me to work in food systems.
My Mission
To rethink the way we engage with agricultural certification systems, not solely for technical purposes, but to advance social change and create a more equitable world.
I offer supportive processes to help companies and all their stakeholders consider social responsibility and labor relations in a new way. Through my dedication as a social auditor, I have cultivated a trust-based approach that advances social responsibility in a real way, unique for each scenario.
My Story
Growing up in Central America, my grandparents’ ties to agriculture and their joyful relationship with nature impacted how I saw the world and my place in it. My early life experiences were full of rich harvests and simple abundance, interwoven with community life and closeness to food production. These formative experiences were seeds along my life path, filling me with a sense of comfort in farming environments and appreciation for authentic wellness.
In my early 20s, I apprenticed at a Research Institute for Biodynamic Agriculture—one of the forms of Regenerative Agriculture. This experience influenced my life so deeply that biodynamic insights continue to be a source of inspiration in my day to day.
Biodynamic literature clearly acknowledges the work of the farmer as steward of the land and the importance of the farmer’s self development and perception skills. These Biodynamic principles affirmed my belief that our society’s task is to recognize the importance of the agriculturalist vocation, and in turn to recalibrate and value nourishment differently.
